Catadau, Llombai and Alfarp are a chain of villages that are positioned to the south west of the stunning city of Valencia. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery which includes miles of fruit farms and amazing mountain ranges, which are perfect for hiking or cycling.
The village of Catadau has all the amenities you could ask for... two supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, 'corner shops', a dentist, a health centre, cafes, bars and restaurants. The bigger towns of Montroy and Monserrat are just a short drive away.
Valencia is about a 40 minute car drive away, or if you prefer then you can catch the metro from Carlet (7.6km) or Font Almaguer (10km from El Parral) into the heart of the city. Parking is free at both stations. The blue flag beaches of Valencia are definitely worth a visit, as not only is there an expanse of golden sand but an array of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy some excellent tapas.

The City of the Arts and Sciences is spectacular! It is situated in the old river bed, which not only has some fantastic buildings, but gardens that take you all the way into the city itself. As part of this area, the Oceanogràfic has 12 buildings which perfectly recreate all the marine ecosystems on the planet where you can see beluga whales, penguins, walruses, turtles, jellyfish and crustaceans of every kind. The highlights include the circuit under the main aquarium where visitors can see sharks and manta rays swimming all around them.
There are many sites that give you routes through the mountains and on the roads, here are a few to start you off.
